New Glasgow Regional Police were on scene last night and this morning where a man barricaded himself in a residence.
On November 24 at 10:40 p.m. New Glasgow Regional Police responded to a Kennedy Court residence for a report of an assault in progress.
After police attended, the lone male barricaded himself in his residence.
Today, November 25, at approximately 6:35 a.m., the man was safely apprehended without further incident.
He was apprehended for mischief and the under Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act.
New Glasgow Regional Police said there was no threat to the surrounding resident; they continue to investigate.
