The Town of Pictou is looking for a new chief administrative officer.
Current CAO Dan Troke will be leaving his position on January 22.
Mayor Jim Ryan expressed Council’s thanks to Troke for his three years of dedicated service to the community.
“Dan has provided the necessary direction and oversight for many significant projects designed to move the Town of Pictou forward. Through land sales, policy changes and new approaches to doing business with the private sector, we have experienced significant growth in the Town’s commercial tax base. Dan has provided consistency within the Town operations and is leaving us in a stable financial position. His knowledge of municipal operations and his strong leadership skills have prepared us well for the future development of our many local and regional assets.”
Ryan lauded, “Dan has played a critical role in the success of the town and we wish him well in his new role as the CAO for the Town of Kentville.”
Pictou Town Council will be appointing an acting CAO for the foreseeable future and has formed a committee to oversee a search for Troke’s permanent replacement.
