Doctors Nova Scotia Healthy Tomorrow Foundation is urging people to get out and enjoy the winter.
This group, in partnership with Recreation Nova Scotia, Hike Nova Scotia, Nova Scotia Trails Federation and Nova Scotia Health Community Board, Northern Zone, invite you to participate in Winter Active Day. Organizers will be at six trailheads – including the Jitney Trail in Pictou – throughout the province on February 20, between 12 and 1 p.m
A press release says the first 10 people who come out to each of the listed trails win a prize pack.

Central Region – Salt Marsh Trail – 806 Bissett Rd, Dartmouth
Fundy Region – Mi’kmawey Debert Interpretive Trail – 1952 Plains Rd, Debert
Valley Region – Harvest Moon Trail – Grand Pre Trailhead, near the historic park
South Shore Region – Bay to Bay Trail – 23 Longhill Rd Mahone Bay Cape Breton Region – Salt Mountain Trail – 89 Provincial Park Rd, Whycocomagh
