Police are continuing to look for the person responsible for damaging lawns in New Glasgow.

As part of an ongoing investigation, New Glasgow Regional Police and Crime Stoppers are looking for public assistance in identifying persons responsible for the property damage at two locations.

A press release received from New Glasgow Regional Police says that on February 7 at approximately 8 a.m. police responded to a complaint where an unknown vehicle had caused damage to the Africentric Heritage Park lawn on Vale Road. The damage occurred sometime earlier that morning.

Later that morning New Glasgow Regional Police responded to another complaint where damage was done to lawn at the Garden Suites on Marsh Street. They believe that damage also occurred sometime early in the morning of February 7.

“Investigators determined that the damage was caused by the same vehicle,” said Const. Ken MacDonald in the press release.

New Glasgow Regional Police is asking anyone who has any information to contact them at 902-752-1941 or call Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), text TIP202 + your message to CRIMES (274637) or by secure online tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca. Police are also asking if anyone witnessed any large trucks or cube vans in the area at the time of the incident to call police or crime stoppers.
