Police looking for person of interest

New Glasgow Regional Police is looking to identify a person of interest who was near the area of Macdonald and MacGregor street son the evening of March 15.

According to a press release from the police, NGR police responded to a complaint that a man had spoken to a nine-year-old around 6:45 p.m. that day. The child was in the area of Macdonald and MacGregor streets. The child went straight home, and police were called. Officers patrolled the area attempting to locate the man but did not locate anyone matching the description. 

The man is described having a red mustache and was wearing a red hoodie, black jacket and blue jeans at the time. No further information is available.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that no criminal act has taken place but police want to identify the person of interest as part of their ongoing investigation.
